I am going to a wedding on the 23rd July. I have decided to make the Crepe Dress for it. So far, so good. However, I'm essentially doing two nearly full time jobs right now, and my weekends are being crazy. I have, as of this moment, half a day I *know* I can do sewing before the 23rd July. Annoyingly enough, I have nothing in my weekends from the 24th onwards.
This is what I have so far (I know I've shown you the muslin I made a few posts ago... this is the final version)
Bodice not completely sewn together. I haven't sewn the side seams, nor sewn any of the facings in yet. Facings in this household are generally known as Effing Facings. Because they are awkward buggers.

I've actually had time to do a tiny bit of spinning. Not all of this, just the most outside-most spinning. I need to empty this spindle for Knit Nation - two weeks away, and one of the reasons I have no free weekends (very excited).
And a cute picture of Kathryn just because. She's still wearing her eye wateringly bright tomten I made her 2 years ago, but it's getting a bit small now. She'll need a new one for this winter I think.I just need to get through July and the extreme busy-ness calms down. Kathryn's school breaks up on the 22nd July and then I can relax. Counting the days!

oh that Kathryn - she's a button isn't she? I love that she's gotten so much wear out of her cardi!
