September update

Boy, I'm not doing too well at a weekly post here. See if I can manage for September.

Thing the first: Kathryn's started school again. Getting back into the routine of making lunches the night before and getting to school in time is a little difficult, but she's loving being with her friends again, and her new teacher is a big favourite.

Thing the second: Spiders. We seem to be having extremely large spiders around this year. Have I mentioned I really don't like big spiders? Small ones are fine but these are massive and yick. I would post a pic, but trust me, nobody wants to see them!

Thing the third: Practice Sock!

This is the stained glass sock (rav link) that I'm slowly working on. I decided that my tension was so variable and baggy that I needed to do a practice sock. I like it though so it may well end up with a partner. Loving them, but purling continental style - really don't know how anyone can do it!

Thing the fourth: I got a lovely needle roll from Amanda at Kitschy Coo, after I made her some fingerless gloves.
Thing the fifth: I'm going to a Halloween ball! I am almost more excited than I can stand about it. The theme is Ghost in the Machine, and it's a steampunk/horror/fantasy costume theme. I keep changing my mind about what I'll wear, but it will definitely include a skirt (view a) in a deep wine satin - I've bought the fabric, so I'm not changing my mind on that part! The top is constantly subject to change. I'll let you know when I make my mind up.

Thing the sixth and final for this post: Autumn! Windy, rainy, wearing knits weather! Yay!

I'd love that skirt in wine satin! Something lacy for a top with lace gloves and maybe some goggles. An cleavage, lots of cleavage! I love Halloween.
